About

The definition of being an environmentalist has come a long way in the last thirty years, or as long as I have been familiar with the term. In my lifetime the definition of an environmentalist has gone from someone protesting and getting arrested in an effort to stop a nuclear power plant from opening to someone who has switched from using commercial to biodegradable dish soap. It no longer takes a big action to be considered an environmentalist.

The definition of the environment and what it affects has also changed. Being concerned about the environment is not only being concerned about landscape and critters. It’s about the entire environment that we live in, and how we live in it, and how our actions affect it.

Our environment is also affected by things that aren’t even on the planet. Sunspots, asteroids, new discoveries in space.

So, when I say I want to talk about the environment, I mean I want to talk about our small rock in the big universe.

There is no doubt that our environment, and the planet, is in trouble. This site is about becoming proactive, and taking the little, as well as the big, things into our own hands, changing our lifestyles, and moving into the future.

I hope you are with me.
